Welcome to Abbey Hey Primary Academy

Welcome to our website, take a look around and you will find lots of information about or school.

Abbey Hey Primary Academy is a larger than average primary school in the City of Manchester. We currently have just over 500 children in school who represent many countries around the world.

Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors, I am delighted to welcome you to Abbey Hey Primary Academy, proud to be a part of United Learning; a national group of academies and independent schools that aims to bring out ‘the best in everyone’.

Our school is a friendly, happy place where everyone is valued and recognised as an individual. We believe that every child has the ability to shine given the right care and support and that our similarities and differences are things we celebrate with pride.

The life of our school is driven by our core values of Respect, Confidence, Enthusiasm, Creativity, Ambition, and Determination. We aim to make learning exciting, stimulating and fun giving our children a thirst for knowledge, a belief that anything is possible and strong foundations from which they can build their futures lives upon.

Working together in partnership, we know your child will grow to become the best that they can be at Abbey Hey Academy.

I am incredibly proud of our school and look forward to welcoming and introducing you to our fantastic team and incredible pupils.

We hope you find our website helpful and a good insight into life at Abbey Hey Academy. Please do not hesitate to contact either myself or a member of my team at any time if you would like to learn more about us.

Mr Paul Graham
Principal

Safeguarding

Ensuring our children are safe is our key responsibility. We work as a team to develop children's awareness and understanding of being safe. Our safeguarding lead teachers are: Mrs Short and Mrs Whitehead. If you have any concerns regarding the safety of a child in school or in the community you can speak with Mrs Short and Mrs Whitehead, or any other member of the school team you feel most comfortable discussing the matter with. Our School Governor with responsibility for Safeguarding is Mr. Broom.
